A group of Longford Park JFC youngsters enjoyed a once-in-a-lifetime experience after being invited onto BBC Breakfast ahead of England’s World Cup match against Norway.

As another season draws to a close we come together to celebrate all the achievements at our awards nights. 

What a season it has been for Longford Park Junior Football Club. Across both our boys’ and girls’ teams, the 2025/26 season has delivered an incredible haul of league and cup success, reflecting the hard work, commitment and passion shown by our players, coaches, volunteers and families throughout the year.

As manager of Longford Park JFC Girls U17s, I’ve witnessed firsthand how strong communities are built on lasting partnerships and shared values. For the past ten years, we’ve been proud to call JP & Brimelow Estate Agents our sponsor, and I’ve watched my group of enthusiastic seven-year-olds transform into confident, skilled young women who proudly wear their purple colours on pitches across the region.

Coach Tess attended the National Volunteering Conference, an inspiring event that celebrated girls’ and women’s football. Tess participated in a powerful panel discussion that underscored the crucial impact of female volunteers in grassroots football, followed by engaging breakout workshops. She immersed herself in the on-pitch coaching workshop, where theory combined with practice, held on the legendary Terry Venables indoor pitch featured in cherished England videos
